Hey, I've been waiting and waiting for a good PC deal to come along. Finally, my desktop ended up crashing and I was trying to find the most bang for my buck. I came across your page and decided to go ahead and build my own PC with your suggestions. I went with the Intel. Finally all my stuff arrived and I had a blast putting it together. I've been using it every day since I built it and I am 100% satisfied. Thank you for the suggestions and options you provided everybody with! I recommend this page to anyone trying to build their own gaming PC with a decent amount of power for under $1000 bucks.

I wouldn't build a system around that motherboard. The best it can do is a Phenom I CPU which isn't fast by any means and 4GB of RAM. I would get the motherboard from this $800 computer list or the one from the $500 computer. Either will take the latest Phenom II CPUs and up to 16GB of RAM.
